Video Editor Redux - Mosaic Cut Movie Edit App Reviews
I downloaded the socalled free app - but it is NOT AT ALL FREE. Because when I made a video with the app i could not make a video unless i paid 20 USD to have no watermarks in the video. I feel like a hostage since I used hours to make a video and afterwards fpund out that I wouldn't work unless I paid the amount. - I urge APPLE to stop this kind of sales that appears to be a free app - but isn't. DO NOT BUY THIS SHIT ! ! ! ! !
I have been using this program for a year now, never have problems editing. The program is great. People that say it is not good, do not know how to use it. Its not as easy as dialing a phone number, there is a tiny bit of a learning curve. Use it and you will like it.
Useless. I input in the video clips from an iphone6s, but when I try to save the clips I load, I get the fiery wheel from hell spinning until my computer battery dies. I'm not talking 30 minutes of videos, or 20, or 10, or 5, I'm talking 3 minutes. Don't buy this program. Unless someone can tell me why its NOT a simple fix for even a ham-fisted computer dolt like me, its going to be giving your money away for nothing.
Maybe something is glitching, but I can’t seem to figure out how to input a video (Other than recording one directly from the mac). It useless as of now…There is only an option to record video or audio directly from the divice right now…
Amazingly simple editor, with all the functions I need for doing simple edits. Multiple video tracks, "detach audio" so I can replace, audio track can go above or below video track(!!!), moving the playhead around is a little clumsy but you get the hang of it, magnetic timeline works but doesnt fight me when I want to move pieces around... Ive only used it for 24 hours, but already have produced three needed pieces of video! This is amazing, coming from 10 years of editing with FCP/X, for those moments when you just need a very simple YouTube video made. I also have the Subtitle Edit Pro (by the same company) because I need to add subtitles to my videos, which led me to this Video Editor Redux. I also have the same companys Screen Record Pro, video with audio, and that video dropped into this Video Editor Redux just fine - andio and video, resulting in a YouTube demonstration video for my website in the shortest amount of time ever! There is a review in the "All Versions" tab about not being able to import video. I just dragged and dropped, and there it was! Dropped video, detached audio, dropped new audio...
I’ve seen better for free but it’s cool for the most part. It gets the basics done. I wish there was more that could be added or tutorials. I had to come back to see the photos to learn how to work it.
I have tried just about everything on this app store that cost $25 or less, and this program is the one that does what I need it to do. I needed to do quick edits of small clips of video and be able to have an easy picture in picture. I was able to whip out my video fast. iMovie is very full featured but it’s really cubersome when your trying to do something that is not very complex. When I added the picture to put into the corner of my movie it seemed that the audio was a little funny, but when I exported the movie it did a great job and the audio was fine. This is the app that I’m going to be using the most I think for my mini video projects.

It works pretty good
I have used this app for quite some time now. It is one of a ew different ones I use as they all provide something different. This one is really good for doing simple edits and figuring out how to edit. Its pretty simople to learn and use.
how to change the format of a file…?
I like the app, and i purchased the full verssion. I cant change the format to my saved videos to a format youtube will allow. I need to upload to youtube. how do i do that? i have search on youtube for videos to help me solve this problem and cant find any. Can you help please.

I like to shorten longer video clips (10-15 minutes) down to the highlights, and this does the job.

Good and not good...
Eh… it does what it needs to do, but it is extremely slow, the functions on filtering colors are extremely limited in what it actually can accomplish and you will want to save your videos, and burn them via a different program, or you will end up with choppy DVDs that freeze every few seconds.
Will not record VHS Home movies
the video and audio show up that it is recording then when you push stop recording it only shows audio of home movies. I wish i had NOT purchased this for that reason. I am having trouble with all the new camera capture apps. if anyone knows one that will work please reply. I spent the money on several now and all have a different way to stop from recording old home movies. Did i miss something or does big tech not want us to share our family past to our younger Generation.
Great App, NiceQuality, Easy To Use
Reminds me a little of iMovie but a lot easier to use BUT not a memory hog! Much appreciated!
Good App (Issues With OSX Big Sur
While I genuinley think this is a rather good video editing program I've been having issues since updating to Big Sur. The main issue being that the application is very laggy in performing any actions, all other things considered I found the UI easy to understand and easy to use.
Glitches in this video editing app
On Sunday November 22nd, I saw a couple glitches whenever I add a video that is in Portrait Mode. It'll show the glitch on both end of the video in Portrait Mode. Is there any way that this glitch can fixed by any chance?
NOT VERY USER FRIENDLY
Once you play around with it for a good bit. You finally get to make some very decent edits. -and for the price you really can't beat it but it does require some practice. There are some fair youtube videos that helped.
Excellent Video Editing App
If you are in the hunt for an app to splice, trim or combine video, this is the one. Easy to use as long as you have use video editing apps in the past.
Best $20 i ever spent
Y’all. I went through 3 different apps before I decided to just bite the bullet and pay the $20. Worked exactly how it is supposed to and I got my project done on time. What’s $20 compared to peace of mind

forced to buy this because I had already edited on their free app and it would let you export. editing is choppy because its rendering the video after each edit so it makes it practically impossible to edit videos. Has no audio clips transitions dont have examples....overall a waste of money.
Works Beautifully
Though the lack of written help or any audio tutorials slowed me down a little in the beginning, pretty soon with explortion and just tryng thigs out, I found my way around the program. It works smoothly and solidly and produces a very good result. Grateful to find such a solid tool with a lot of features without spending much money. Thanks to the developers!
Worst application
I edited a video and then was asked to bu the full version because of the huge watermark on my video, then when I did the transitions do not work.
Amazing
I use this almost every day to make videos for YouTube and several other video streaming sites. Quick, simple, great results. This has the features I need for making video clips. It is great that the author can keep up with all of the changes Apple makes to MacOS. I also use their other video Apps.
The add text option does not work at all.
The add text option is not working, playback is chopy. I am runnng OS 10.7 with 32g ram memory if Avid Media Composer runs this software should too. I was looking for a simple edit on the fly option this one fails miserably I will like a refund please.

if you want something to to waste money on buy it. but instead just use imovie or something.
If it crashes it doesn't save any progress.
just got this for my macbook pro and it quit unexpectedly after editing for 45 minutes and saved absolutely nothing or no backup. seriously what kind of software does that in 2019?

Worked ok . Was looking for a free editor for a client. it let's you get all the way through then sez , Oh yeah, we have this big watermark on it unless you pay $20.00. :-( Not a good way to make friends or repeat customers.

Nice little app, I was surprised.
EASY TO USE
I created my first video using this and it was intuitive and easy. I was able to mask my sensitive data on screen and highlight what I wanted, added text and special effects that made it look more professionally done. If you are new to editing videos, you will find this a robust but easy system to learn and use. Enjoy.

Do not waste your money and TIME buying this software, does not support HD resolution ( only 720) and lacks features, filters and applications. DO NOT BUY IT.
What of Adding Transitions to Layered Clips and Snapping to the Red Playhead?
Compared to the other Video Editing App that I got from this App Store and tried to put faith in, this one actually gets the trophy. Other than that however, it would have been complete in my opinion if only it gave me the option to add transitions and to set exactly how long each of them would last before or after a clip, and also, if video clips and audio clips could snap to playhead.

I paid the twenty dollars for this because I wanted an upgrade from imovie and I am so dissapointed. It constantly crashes and I want my money back.

For the price the options avaliable for video editing are actually pretty good. Being a youtuber I would love it if they had a way to add enbeded widgets for people to click in order to subscribe! Otherwise good for basic video editing.
Easy for beginners!!!
I love this app!! It is great and easy for 1st time users!! Of course once you do a couple videos you will gravitate to more of the features that are available to you & you will be even more psyched about it!! I just wish that this app included a feature that is like the animation in Snapchat filters. For example if I wantes to put up a star sparkling sky or some bubbles or something along those lines. Aside form that.. I love it!! And honestly, I AM just going to search on YouTube tutorials to see whats really good with this app!! I might be greatly surprised to see what else is new!!!
It’s super good for entry level
I used it for recording or making video, it’s easy and good to use for a simple video or just record. I like it in general.

This garbage app just took weeks and hours I spent on a project and misplaced everything, took out effects between slides. I wouldn’t waste money on this app.

Ho ironic that a video editing program has a video tutorial without any audio. The description lists a number of freatures that sound great but the help documentation (both the horrible video and brief pdf file) are absolutely useless. A reviewer says you can add a sound track but that is not mentioned anywhere. It was needlessly frustrating to try to use. Wait and it gets worse, when you click on the link for help above it brings you to the developers page that does not even list this software!
May be powerful but very hard to learn
I suppose if you have done a lot with computers this will come easily to you. This App is far from user friendly, and the help offered is inadequate and unclear. You can be directed to a Youtube video, but the sound on it doesn’t work other than somebody clicking around a bunch of screens. Suggested improvements: a clearly written instruction set, with demonstrations that are visible and understandable. If I could get my money back, I would!

Dont waste your money! $25 and you’d expect this video editor to be atleast decent… I was trying to edit a couple of videos to put together, but the PLAYBACK is very LAGGY and GLITCHY.. how can you edit when it PLAYS like that?? I WANT A REFUND $25. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!
corrupt avi files
Whenever I import AVI files they end up overly compressed and corrupted. The results are all glitchy like datamoshed video. Help please!

Easy to use and works well
I have used this to make and record video and audio. Easy to use and to edit. The only feature I would add is the ability to have two projects open at the same time.
Easy but Powerful
We used this app to put sermons up on our church’s website. Many of the sermons need to be edited and we needed a program that was easy enough we could teach several people how to use, yet powerful enough to make edits and add titles. We were extremely happy on all fronts.

Excellent product! Im a songwriter in Nashville and i use Vid Editor delux to produce Music or Lyric Videos. The app is highly capabable but easy to use. I’m very proficient on it now and i just dove in and began using it. Great job by the designers!! shawn
